Per la prima volta questa esposizione presenta al pubblico italiano una selezione di ventiquattro artisti dalla più prestigiosa collezione francese di disegno contemporaneo, FRAC Picardie di Amiens, che conserva più di 1300 opere di 250 artisti internazionali. Una riflessione poetica dal 1970 ai giorni nostri sui differenti linguaggi, soggetti e grammatiche del disegno come un viaggio in sé. Tutto questo riconduce alla sensazione di stordimento provata dallo scrittore Stendhal mentre, nel 1817, era in Italia impegnato nel Grand Tour. L'allestimento ha previsto la creazione di supporti espositivi smontabili in MDF grigio colorato in pasta e metallo, atti anche ad essere riutilizzati, indipendenti dalle murature, nel rispetto del contenitore storico.

For the first time, this exhibition presents to the Italian public a selection of twenty-four artists from France’s most prestigious collection of contemporary drawing, the FRAC Picardie in Amiens, which holds more than 1,300 works by 250 international artists. A poetic reflection from 1970 to the present day on the different languages, subjects and styles of drawing, as a journey in itself. All this evokes the sense of bewilderment experienced by the writer Stendhal whilst he was in Italy in 1817 on his Grand Tour. The exhibition design involved the creation of demountable display units made from grey MDF and metal, designed to be reused independently of the building’s structure, whilst respecting the historic setting.
